Futurama
About the Game
Futurama is a funny animated sci-fi show made by Matt Groening for Fox. It tells the story of Philip J. Fry, a pizza delivery guy from New York City who gets frozen by mistake and wakes up one thousand years later in the 31st century. He starts working at Planet Express, a delivery company that sends packages to other planets. Groening thought of this idea in the mid-1990s while working on The Simpsons and brought David X. Cohen to help build the characters and stories for Fox. In America, Fox showed Futurama from March 28, 1999, until August 10, 2003, before stopping production. Cartoon Network's Adult Swim then played reruns from 2003 to 2007 until their deal ended. The show came back in 2007 as four direct-to-video movies, with the final one coming out early in 2009. Comedy Central later made a deal with 20th Century Fox Television to air the old episodes and the movies as sixteen new half-hour shows for a fifth season.
