►Greyhound Racing Fun! Greyhound races used to be huge hits everywhere, but lately, worries about animal care and less interest have made many tracks close down. Want the thrill of a fast race without worrying about real animals? That is exactly what virtual racing games like Dogs 3D by InBet offer! You can enjoy a day at the track right from your screen with no need to leave home. ►And They're Off! The game is easy to understand: every couple minutes, six simulated dogs compete in a new race. Before the start, you can place many different bets on which greyhound will win or finish high up, then watch the computer-generated action unfold before your eyes. When you first join, you see a clear layout with all the info you need for betting. Most of the screen shows odds for various wagers. At the top, you can see how much time remains until the next race; contests happen on a regular schedule with about two minutes between the end of one and the start of another. On the right side, you can check recent race results, listing the first, second, and third place finishers from the last few heats. A statistics tab also lets you see which greyhounds are winning often and which ones are struggling. Of course, dog abilities and their odds change every race, but this info helps you track trends during your session. The most important part is in the upper right corner, where you watch the races happen. Once a race starts, click there to go full screen and cheer for your favorite contestants as they circle the track! ►Win, Place, and Show While this game has fewer bet types than real racetracks, there is still plenty to explore if you are new to racing games. The easiest bets are on the right, listing all six runners. Next to them are three options: one for picking the dog that finishes first (a win bet), one for guessing a top-two finisher (place), and one for choosing any of the top three finishers (show). All bets use decimal numbers. This means the listed number is your total payout, including your original stake. For example, odds of 2.50 mean you get your initial bet back plus 1.5 units in profit. You can mix and match bets however you like with no limits. On the left side, you can wager on which greyhounds finish first and second in that exact order. This is called an exacta bet. Since it is harder than just picking a winner, these exactas usually pay out much higher rewards.
